Overpopulation happens for various reasons. Among them are:
The technological revolutions that occurred within the knowledge of mankind.
- The tool-making and industrial revolution have allowed humans more access to food easily than ever before, resulting in subsequent population explosions.
- During the Meiji era in the late 19th century, the Japanese had vast access to agricultural technology and advance food processing. Making and harvesting rice from fields faster than traditional harvesting and planting.
- In the twentieth century Japan suffered a population explosion. Causing the nation into the cause of Imperialism and started World War II.
- When death rates fell during the 19th and 20th century, researchers improvised the solution and thus they discover the result of improved sanitation, child immunizations, and other advances in medicine which allows more newborns to survive, the fertility rate did not adjust downward fast enough, resulting in significant population growth.
